Gea Galluzzi is a Thematic Advisor on seeds and farmer-managed seed systems at Oxfam Novib. For over 15 years, she has been involved in programs focused on agrobiodiversity management, including participatory plant breeding and community-based approaches across Europe and the Global South.

Gea spent four years at Bioversity International’s regional office for Latin America in Colombia before returning to her home country, Italy. Since then, she has been actively collaborating with the Italian Seed Network and the Seeds of Resilience program at Oxfam Novib.

She holds a Master’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Florence and a PhD from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa.
