The Community of Practice for Farmer-Managed Seed Systems will be hosting a side event during the African Union’s Inaugural Africa Seed Summit in Mbabane, Eswatini, on Tuesday 6th October at 14.00.

Drawing on decades of on-the-ground practical experience in breeding for farmers’ needs, climate resilience, and diversity, on the potential of community seed banks, and insights into the role of seed laws and regional regulations, we will demonstrate policy pathways and best practices in guiding the implementation of the new African Union Strategy Framework on Farmer-Managed Seed Systems.
